Biggs Studio

Biggs Studio is the collective works of artists Mike and Dasha Biggs. These 2 artists are based out of Las Vegas, NV and display a unique style of artistry that ranges from fine art to graphic design. Together they hope to take their art efforts worldwide and become seasoned travelers.

DASHA BIGGS

Dasha Biggs was born into the world of art in Moscow, Russia. Mesmerized and inspired by the mystrious and colorful paintings of her grandfather, Dasha’s first artistic attempts emerged as doodles, that eventually evolved into drawings and paintings. After moving to the United States in the Los Angeles, CA area, her work became more noteworthy and captured the attention of the Ryman School. Here she landed a scholarship and became entrenched in the study of art, its expression in multiple forms, and presented at various galleries, including the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art).

A natural course of work took her on a pathway into graphic design and animation, but her talent landed her a job in Las Vegas as a venetian mask artist for a major hotel. A few years later Dasha returned to graphic arts, designing video games for customers around the globe. Dasha’s passion is her art and her shared projects with best friend and life partner, Mike.

MIKE BIGGS

Las Vegas is probably the perfect venue for artist Mike Biggs. Not only can Biggs meet the demand posed by a city of extreme entertainment media, but the city itself fosters Biggs’ fascination with the contradictions of a civilized world: “Light and Dark”, “Temptation”, and “Life and Death.”

Biggs artistic expression is anything but dull, and sometimes controversial. Drawing was Biggs’ first artistic form and size didnt matter. As a child and in his own private world during the night, Biggs would draw grandiose images on his bedroom walls. This dismayed his parents who often sought solutions with many coats of paint, and suitable punishment.

Unphased, Biggs continued his pursuit in developing his passion and obsession by attending the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing, and Visual Arts for four years. Apparently he had finally connected with his tribe, and was actually selected in his senior year as the most artistic in his class.

After graduation, Biggs continued his studies at the Art Institute of Phoenix where he obtained a degree in computer animation. Combining this with his artistic talent, Biggs Launched his career in Las Vegas designing casino video games. As his career progressed and his network of contacts grew, Biggs’ portfolio of work expanded as well. His clientele has ranged from major hotels and resort properties to law firms. he has designed album covers for various bands, book covers, and even murals for homes and businesses. His fine art talents can translate to almost any industry or client base and has even received appreciable recognition in the tattoo community with his original tattoo art.
